Gladys Ash Gaudette

Gladys Gaudette, 84, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Gaudette was born Sept, 23, 1924 in Taskee, Mo. She was a member of Williamsville United Methodist Church, and had retired from Edison Bros. Shoe Store in St. Louis. Mrs. Gaudette enjoyed shopping.

On Sept. 17, 1955 she married Edward Gaudette. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1972.

Survivors include her brother, Harold Ash and wife Betty, of Fisk and their children, Anna Ash Jenkins and husband Roy of Puxico and Gordon Ash, of Fisk; and many other nieces and nephews.

Her parents, Andrew Harmon and Anna (Baker) Ash, and brothers, Millard Ash, Gordon Ash and Wayne Ash preceded her in death.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Wendy Downing officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
