Gladys Mae West

Gladys Mae West, 93, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. West, daughter of the late Silas and Bertha (Poston) Pulliam, was born July 31, 1922 in Van Buren, Mo. She was of Protestant faith and was a homemaker. During her earlier years she worked at Newberry Department Store as well as Lucy Lee Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

On July 24, 1961 she married John C. West in Hernando, Miss. He preceded her in death on July 15, 1994.

Survivors include her nieces; Shirley Reneau and husband, Gerald, Ruth Jameson and husband, Jerry, and Bertha Hodge all of Poplar Bluff, Pat Law and husband, Buck of Paragould, Ark. and Helen Deal of Kentucky.

Three sisters, Lucille Tipton, Ethel Harris, and Lillian Tinsley also preceded her in death.

The visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel with the Reverends Bud and Bonnie Goins officiating. Burial will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
