Glenda Jenal (Niswonger) Ethridge

Glenda Jenal Ethridge, 73, of Paragould, Ark., died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012 at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, Ark.

Mrs. Ethridge was born Oct. 24, 1938 in Clover Bend, Ark. She was of the Baptist faith, and was the first woman to work at Darling Store Fixtures in Paragould. Mrs. Ethridge also worked as a seamstress. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing and planting flowers.

On Dec. 12, 1960, she married Beeler Ethridge in Bloomfield, Mo. Mr. Ethridge preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 2008.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Belenda Shearer and husband Terry and Tracey Osgood all of Paragould, Ark.; 8 grandchildren: Johnathon, Gretchen, Elizabeth, Shawnda, Christopher, David, Jacob and Kiley; 4 great-grandchildren: Colby, Madilynn, Eli and Saylor; and a sister, Wanda Spargo of Walnut Ridge, Ark.

Her parents, Dave and Pearl (Hall) Niswonger, two sons, James Ethridge and David Ethridge, a granddaughter, Amber Osgood and four sisters, Lucille, Christine, Juanita and Velma also preceded Mrs. Ethridge in death.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff, Mo. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Crain officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
