Glendon ""Glen"" Owen Pruett, 85, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Pruett was born Oct. 27, 1924 in Bell City, Mo. He was of the Protestant faith, and had retired as a carpenter. Mr. Pruett enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking and music.
On Nov. 2, 1943, he married Earlean Presson in Sikeston, Mo. She survives.
A brother, Jack Pruett of Poplar Bluff and many friends and other relatives survive him. Mr. Pruett was a special Dad to several brothers, nieces and nephews, and a special Grandpa and great-Grandpa to many nieces and nephews.
His parents, Charles Edgar and Allie (Lewis) Pruett, sisters, Minnie Clark and Levina Hicks and brothers, Elwin Pruett, Tommy Pruett, Orin Pruett and Eugene Pruett preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel with Rev. Melburn Deaton officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Bell City.
