Glenn E. Buchanan

Glenn Ellsworth Buchanan, 75, former business owner of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at his residence.

Mr. Buchanan was born Aug. 12, 1933 in Poplar Bluff. He was the previous owner and operator of NAPA Auto Parts Store in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Buchanan enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his sons: David Buchanan, of Helena, Mont. and Steve Buchanan and special friend Patricia Russell of Fair Grove; granddaughter, Samantha Buchanan of Springfield; and brothers: Clyde Buchanan of Poplar Bluff, Elmer Buchanan of Dayton, Ohio and Norman Buchanan of Allen, Tex.

His parents, Walter and Ola (Laughlin) Buchanan, sister, Thelma Sliger and brother, Gilmore Buchanan preceded Mr. Buchanan in death.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel with the Rev. Jim Schremp officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
