Rev. Glenn W. Fox, 84, of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009 in Poplar Bluff.

Rev. Fox was born Nov. 16, 1924 in Harviell. He graduated from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR. He was an ordained minister and pastored churches in Missouri, Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma. Rev. Fox served as pastor of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff for 35 years. He was a former superintendent of Camp Garwood (BMA of MO Youth Camp), and was associated with the Baptist Missionary Association of Missouri and America.

On Jan. 15, 1949 he married Wilma Parkin in Flat River. She survives.

Other survivors include his daughter Cathy J. Fox, of Poplar Bluff; son, Dennis L. Fox and wife Sue, of Poplar Bluff; grandchildren, Nicole Conover and husband Jeremy and Andrew Fox, all of Poplar Bluff; great-granddaughter, Katelyn Jane Conover; sister, Dorothy Hassler and husband Ray, of Webster Groves; and brother, Robert L. Fox and wife Ruby of Fredericktown; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

His parents John V. and Verna A. (Ward) Fox, sister, Alma Hopper and brother, Willard L. Fox preceded Rev. Fox in death.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. George Reddin officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
