Gloradean Kuehle, 81, of Wappapello, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Kuehle was born June 10, 1929 in Highland Park, Mich., and was a homemaker. She was a volunteer at the Lake Wappapello United Methodist Church, especially in the Food Pantry Program; was a volunteer at the O.A.K. Center (Wappapello Nutrition Center) for 13 years; and was past president (1975-1985) of the Cape Girardeau Women's Bowling Association. In 1994 Mrs. Kuehle was inducted into the Cape Girardeau Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame. She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling.
On March 4, 1949 she married Glenn A. Kuehle in Piggott, Ark. He survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Sue Hartman and husband Don of St. Peters, Mo.; a son, Michael G. Kuehle and wife Felicity of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Emily Hartman of St. Peters, Mo., Sherry Simonian and husband Jason of Willard, Mo. and Michael G. Kuehle, Jr. of Cape Girardeau; two great-grandchildren, Bradley and Nathan; and a sister, Ivaleene McDonald and husband Mack of Avon Park, Fla.
Her parents, Roy Elmer and Osa (Richmond) Angle and a grandson, Darren Hartman preceded Mrs. Kuehle in death.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Wappapello Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Wappapello Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Don Kuehle officiating.
In accordance with her wishes Mrs. Kuehle will be cremated and interment of her ashes will be at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Lake Wappapello United Methodist Church Food Pantry.
