Gloria E. Milligan

Gloria E. Milligan, 79, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, Jan. 21, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Milligan was born Dec. 10, 1931 in St. Louis, Mo. She was of the Protestant faith, and had previously worked at First Community Bank. Mrs. Milligan enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, playing cards, reading, going to concerts (Paul McCartney, Willie Nelson, etc.) and her dogs.

In 1953, she married Joe Salamone in Harvey, Ill. He preceded her in death in 1968.

Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Bailey and husband, Clinton of Poplar Bluff; daughter-in-law, Rockie Salamone of Poplar Bluff; and grandchildren, Layron Milligan and fiance, Gisela Marie Jones, Nikki Salamone, Joe Salamone and Mikey Bailey.

Her parents, James and Nellie (Frazier) Banse, daughter, Joan Milligan, son, Michael Salamone and grandson, Leon Milligan also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Brian Sharp officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
