Hattie A. (Richter) Bilbrey

Hattie A. Bilbrey, age 105, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Friday, Aug. 15, 2014 at Oakdale Care Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Bilbrey was born Sept. 1, 1908 in Shook, Mo. to the late Charles and Florence (Kime) Richter. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed flowers and crocheting.

On Jan. 23, 1930, she married Elmer Bilbrey at Richmond Chapel. He preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 1994.

Survivors include a niece, Dr. Cheryl Terrell of Poplar Bluff; 10 additional nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and great nephews.

A brother, Carl Richter, and five sisters, Gertie Tinker, Tressie Curley, Hazel Helm, Ruth Terrell and Betty Baccalla also preceded Mrs. Bilbrey in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service and burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Woodlawn section of the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery with Rev. Donnie Emmons officiating.
