Hattie May Manns, 82, of St. Louis, MO passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Union Care Center in Union, MO.
Hattie was born on November 24, 1937 to Samuel and Lettie Pennell in Poplar Bluff, MO. She married John Paul Manns Sr. on July 25, 1955, in Poplar Bluff.
Hattie was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed spending her time playing bingo, solving puzzles, sewing and knitting. She also loved being outdoors, fishing or gardening. Hattie was a thoughtful, caring soul who always put others first. She was a homemaker and had retired as a factory machine operator
Hattie is survived by one son, John Paul Manns Jr. and his wife Barbara; one daughter, Jeanette Pauline Chance; one sister, Pansy Eastwood; three granddaughters, Marcie Foy (Dustin), Marissa Fletcher (Matthew), and Michelle Chance; two grandsons, John A Manns (Theresa), and Jonathan Chance; and three great-grandchildren, Fiona Foy, Emmett Manns-Eggers, and Josephine Fletcher.
Hattie was preceded by her husband; parents; two sons, Ronald E. Manns and Richard O. Manns; one brother George Allen Pennell; and two sisters, Betty Vincent and Ethel Vincent.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 26th, 2020 at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery with Reverend Jim Schremp officiating.
