Heather Dannette Gavino

Aug 27, 1976 — Jul 7, 2026

Neelyville, Missouri

Heather Dannette Gavino, born on August 27, 1976, in Anchorage, Alaska, departed peacefully on July 7, 2026, at her home in Neelyville, MO. A loving daughter, mother and wife; her love of God, family, and country was evident by those who knew her.

Heather lived a life defined by service, compassion, unwavering faith, and a deep love for the people around her. She proudly served her country in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Navy, carrying the values of honor, courage, and commitment throughout her life. Alongside her husband, Marco Gavino, she opened her home and her heart by fostering 13 children throughout the community, providing love, stability, and hope for countless young lives.

Heather had a rare gift for bringing people together. She was the one who remembered the little things that made others feel seen and loved. Her faith in God was the foundation of her life. She was also actively involved in her church, where she found purpose, strength, and a community she cherished.

Above all, Heather’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Marco Gavino; her children Samantha, Jackson, Jayedon, Luke, Marco III, Nadia, Kaleb, and Nathaniel; her granddaughter Jamesyn; her mother, Darla Pyne and husband Tom, and many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were impacted by knowing her. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Jenkins, and her late husband, Damon Creach.

Heather’s legacy was not measured by the years she lived, but by immense love for her Lord and Savior, the countless lives she touched through her generosity, her laughter, and the love she gave so freely. She leaves behind a family she adored, friendships that became family, and a community made better simply because she was part of it.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Fellowship General Baptist Church located at 3581 N Westwood Blvd, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901.
