Helen J. ""Midge"" Dawson, 81, of Camdenton, Mo., formerly of Van Buren, Mo., died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Mo.
Mrs. Dawson was born March 31, 1931 in Ellington, Mo. She was of the Protestant faith, and was a homemaker. Over the years, Mrs. Dawson worked as a beautician, as an L.P.N. at St. John's Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., and as a visiting nurse. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and sewing.
On Sept. 27, 1952, she married Charles Eugene Dawson in Pocahontas, Ark. He survives.
Other survivors include three children, Wayne Dawson and wife, Billy of Warrenton, Mo., Annette Maupin and husband, Jack of Moscow Mills, Mo., and Kimmy Dawson of Camdenton, Mo.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Her parents, John W. and Mary Jane (Brame) Jackson, a sister, Emma Lou Jackson, and three brothers, Carl L. Jackson, Leolon Jackson and Norman Jackson preceded Mrs. Dawson in death.
Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Assembly Church of God Church, 1507 North Main St., in Van Buren, Mo. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the Church with Pastor Dave Truncone officiating. Burial will be at Brame Cemetery on Old Hwy 60 in Van Buren.
