Helen M. Evatt

Helen M. Evatt, 83, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Evatt, the daughter of Jack and Mary (Ward) Bailey, was born Sept. 6, 1934 in Kennett, Mo. In 1981 she married, Elmer Evatt in Pekin, Ill. She was a member of the Bluff Apostolic Worship Center and was very active in the church. Mrs. Evatt was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, sewing, flowers, reading and had a great love for people of all races and would help anyone.

Survivors include a son, Leonard Sullivan of Washington, Ill.; two grandchildren, Mindy and Barry Sullivan; four great-grandchildren, Kendrick Foster and Alexis Sullivan, Joslyn Sullivan and Adalyn Sullivan; five sisters, Lois Hemmerlain, Roberta Deason and Velta Heaton, Doris Berkevile all of Greenville, Mo. and Wilma Wadley of St. Louis.

Her husband, Elmer E. Evatt, her parents, Jack and Mary Bailey a sister, Bernice Wilder and a nephew, Cody preceded her in death.
