Helen Gower

Helen Gower, 72, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, Dec. 10, 2010 at her residence.

Mrs. Gower was born Feb. 24, 1938 in Poplar Bluff. She was of the Southern Baptist faith, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Gower enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and greenhouse gardening.

On May 19, 1956, she married James A. Gower in Poplar Bluff. He survives.

Other survivors include three children, James Gower of Grand Rapids, SD, Cassie Rideout of Fairdealing and Jason Gower of Poplar Bluff; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Nadine Roberts of Doniphan; and three brothers, Truman Haynes of Springfield, Mo., Asa L. Haynes of Mountain Home, Ark. and Dale Haynes of Phoenix, Ariz.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
