Helen Miller

Helen Miller, 89, of Poplar Bluff, died Saturday, June 19, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Miller was born April 12, 1921 in Pemiscot County, Mo. and retired from Artistic Furniture where she upholstered furniture. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, cooking and quilting.

On May 11, 1945 she married Paul J. Miller and he preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 2008.

Surviving are two children, Yvonne Chiolero and husband Allyn of Eureka, Mo. and John T. Miller and wife Judith of South Roxanna, Ill., one grandson, Walter Polaski of Eureka, Mo., and two great grandchildren, Shawn Polaski of Eureka, Mo., and Shannon Polaski of House Springs, Mo.

Preceding Mrs. Miller in death were her parents, Tom and Clara (Smith) Yancy, and a brother Otis Yancy.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Gilbert officiating. Burial will be at Cochran Cemetery in Butler County.
