Helen "Jackie" Nadine Roach

Helen "Jackie" Nadine Roach, 96, of Poplar Bluff, MO., passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 2018 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Jackie, the daughter of the late John Henry and Edith Potillo Sisney, was born
April 3, 1922 in Poplar Bluff, MO. She was of the Baptist faith, and had retired after almost 40 years as a supervisor for Newberry’s Department Store. Jackie cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren and other family members. She also enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles.

Jackie was married to the love of her life William Duane Roach. He preceded her in death in 1989.

Survivors include two children, Robert D. Roach and wife Judy of Tucson, AZ and Carole L. De La Cruz and husband Roberto of Los Banos, CA; a stepdaughter Phyllis Roach of Monterey, CA; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Jackie was preceded in death by a daughter Edith Hutchinson, a brother Bud Sisney, and sisters, Elsie Lynch, Ann Riggins, Eva Sneathern, Nellie Sweat and Phoebe Perry and a grandson Robin Roach.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with a Celebration of Life following at 2 p.m. The Rev. Robert Edwards will officiate.
