Helen Rose Wells

Helen Rose Wells, 88, of Qulin died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Wells was born Feb. 19, 1922 in Gideon, Mo. She was of the Baptist faith, and had retired from Graham Paper co., in St. Louis. Mrs. Wells enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and listening to country music.

On June 23, 1956 she married Floyd E. Wells in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on May 20, 1997.

Survivors include three children, Lendel Wells of Qulin, Mo., Glendel Wells and wife, Vanessa of Grandin, Mo and Jimmy Collins and wife, Vanita of Troy, Mo.; three step-children, Judy Mashburn, Sandy Boyles, Shirley Kirkley all of Poplar Bluff; ten grandchildren, Derrick Wells and wife, Shelby, Kyle Wells, Beverly Berry and husband, Chad, Samantha Barbalena, Ruthie Wing and husband, Marlowe, Andy Collins and wife, Karen, Doug Collins and Laura Bradburn, Brittany Padron and Heather Morris and husband, Aaron; six great-grandchildren, Shane Collins, Colin Wing, Kylee Berry, Elizabeth Hindle, Tanner Morris and Hannah Padron.

Her parents, Pink Layflatte and Flora May (Cravatt) Collins, sisters, Frances Sanders and Emma Lou ""Tootie"" Tinsley, brothers, Virgil Collins and Jack Collins, daughter-in-law, Janet Wells, and stepson, Ronnie Wells also preceded her in death.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel with Rev. Jim Schremp officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Carter County.
