Henrietta Louise Baumgardner, 84, of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Rockford, Ill., died Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Baumgardner was born Jan. 24, 1928 in Corning, Ark. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, and was a retired accounting clerk. Mrs. Baumgardner enjoyed spending time with her family and dancing.
Her husband, Avon VanZant preceded her in death in 1990. On June 1, 2002, she married Jacob Baumgardner in Rockford, Ill. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Michael VanZant of Rockford, Ill.; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two step-daughters, Judy Baumgardner-Hughey of Manhattan, Kans. and Marsha McCluskey of Poplar Bluff; six step-grandchildren; six step-great grandchildren; two sisters, Alma Crown and Vana McVay both of Rockford, Ill.; and one brother, Olen Porter also of Rockford, Ill.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Mulford Chapel of Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 South Mulford Ave., Rockford, IL 61108. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Mulford Chapel. Burial will follow at Willwood Cemetery in Rockford, Ill.
