Henry Dewayne Miller

Henry D. Miller, 54, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Poplar Bluff, passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2017 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Henry, the son of the late Jewel Miller and Franchell Ellis Turner, was born Feb. 19, 1962 in Poplar Bluff. He was of the Protestant faith and was a cook. Henry enjoyed spending time with his family and cooking.

Survivors include three children, Quinton Rainey of Springfield, Siletta Shaw and Dewayne Shaw of Poplar Bluff; a sister, Felicia Miller of Poplar Bluff; three brothers, Anthony Williams and Michael Allen of Poplar Bluff and Derrick Rainey of Tacoma, Wash.; a special friend, Serena Bond; a host of grandchildren; three special aunts, Linda Miller, Bessie Ellis and Helen Ellis of Poplar Bluff; a special cousin, John Ellis of Poplar Bluff; and multiple uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.

A sister, Sara Louise Miller also preceded him in death.

A visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Cotrell funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Apostle Anthony Q. Williams will officiate. Burial will follow in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
