Henry Lee Robertson, 91, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Westwood Hills Healthcare Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Robertson was born June 30, 1918 in Poplar Bluff. He was of the Baptist faith, and had retired from Barnes Wholesale Grocery Co. Mr. Robertson was a veteran of the U. S. Army, where he served with the Merrill's Marauders during WWII; and was a member of the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps). He enjoyed spending time with his family, and watching baseball.
He was married to the former Eva Christina McClard. She preceded him in death on June 23, 1997.
Survivors include a son, Henry L. Robertson, Jr. and wife Paullet, of Edmond, OK; three grandsons, Anthony Robertson, Jeremy Robertson and Joey Robertson; a great-granddaughter, Calee Robertson; and two brothers: Harold Robertson of Poplar Bluff and Hubert Robertson of Mobile, Ala.
His parents, James Henry and Eddie (Dixon) Robertson, sisters, Mildred Crunk, Avis Hutchings, Irene Davis and Nona Jett, and brothers, Eugene Robertson and Harlan Robertson, also preceded Mr. Robertson in death.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel with the Rev. Richard Triplett officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Black Creek Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
