Howard D. McFadden went to be with the Lord at the Mark Twain Caring Center, Tuesday morning, at age of 91.
He was born in Akron, Indiana, June 16, 1922. He served in the Navy,
Pacific Theater, during World War II.
Howard graduated from Lincoln Christian University, Lincoln, Illinois, and entered the Ministry.
He married Ruby Ann, January 10, 1947. They have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary.
He served the independent Christian Churches in Illinois for over 50 years. He ministered churches in Rockford, Mattoon, Wood River and Plainfield. Howard retired in 1991 and in 1996 moved to Poplar Bluff.
He is survived by his wife Ruby Ann and his three children: Dr. David McFadden and his wife Kathleen of Poplar Bluff, Pastor Stephen McFadden of Naylor and Pam Stapay and her husband Mark of O'Fallon Illinois. His five grandchildren; Joshua McFadden (Diana) of Severn, Maryland, Jacob McFadden (Riva) of Saint Peters, Missouri and Luke McFadden (Lindsay) of Eugene, Oregon, Tara Enders ( Andy) of St. Louis, Capt. Matthew Stapay (Christi) of Fort Benning, Georgia. His five great grandchildren: Titus, Lily, Jude McFadden of Eugene, Oregon, and Sofia, and Alea McFadden of Severn Maryland.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, followed by the funeral service at 1:00, with messages by Luke and Joshua McFadden. Burial will be at Bloomfield at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at 3:00.
