Ida M. Foster, 67, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014, at Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Foster was born in Thebes, IL on July 19, 1946, to the late Homer White, and late Joyce Stevenson White.
In 1966, she married James Allen Foster in Poplar Bluff. He preceded her in death in 1987.
Mrs. Foster was of the Baptist faith, and had retired from Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital in 2006. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching tv with her sister, collecting things dear to her and working puzzle books.
Survivors include her three daughters, Donna Devine of Poplar Bluff, Rita Nesbit (Jeffrey) of Doniphan, and Sharon Allen and fiance Anthony Hardin of Poplar Bluff; grandchildren, Keith Foster, Jamie Standley, John Woodruff Jr., Jonathan Civili, and Hunter Nesbit; and great grandchildren, Kaylynn Foster, Peyton Foster, Makynlee Foster, and Maliyah Hughes; a brother John Woodruff; and sisters, Rose Foster and Wanda Ashby, both of Poplar Bluff, and Penny Taylor of Little Rock, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Jimmy Diamond, and a sister Patricia White.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Thursday at the chapel, with Pastor Greg Whittle officiating. Interment will follow at City Cemetery.
