Imogene Gaultney

Imogene Gaultney, 86, of Crystal City, Mo., formerly of Qulin and Poplar Bluff died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 at Crystal Oaks Care Center, in Crystal City.

Mrs. Gaultney was born Oct. 8, 1924 in Swifton, Mo. She was a member of Living Word Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff and was a homemaker. Mrs. Gaultney enjoyed sewing, quilting, playing dominoes and cards and making crafts.

In May 1949, she married Cecil Gaultney in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 1973.

Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Pyles and husband, Jerry of Herculaneum and Mary Schoenfeld and husband, Greg of Kent, Wash.; two sons, Johnny Gaultney and wife, Linda of Campbell, Mo. and Franklin Gaultney of East St. Louis, Ill.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, D.C. Hedges of Mich.; and a daughter-in-law, Diana Dye of Poplar Bluff.

Her parents, Ruben and Hoda (Barnes) Hedges and son, Ray Dye also preceded her in death.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel with Rev. Donny Emmons officiating. Burial will be at Qulin Cemetery in Qulin.
