Imogene Stanley

Imogene Stanley, 97, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, April 22, 2011 at Oakdale Care Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Stanley was born Jan. 26, 1914 in Holcomb, Mo. She was a member of Highland Church of Christ, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Stanley enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and cooking.

Her first husband, Norvell Ham preceded her in death in 1950. On Nov. 15, 1950, she married Ralph Foster. He preceded her on Dec. 29, 1984. She later married Alvie Stanley who preceded her on Oct. 31, 1996.

Survivors include 5 children, Mary Taylor, Charlotte Gill, Carroll Foster and Floraettia A. Barriner all of Poplar Bluff and Velma Fortin of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service and burial will follow at 11 a.m. Monday at Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo. with Greg Carman officiating.
