Inola Christine Bolden, 79, of Poplar Bluff, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Bolden was born April 22, 1933 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a retired school teacher and school administrator at Robert Frost Junior High School in Hazel Crest, Ill. Mrs. Bolden enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandson, dancing, music, playing the piano, telling stories, cooking and entertaining.
On Feb. 28, 1956 she married Edgar Bolden in Chicago, Ill. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2012.
Surviving are four sons, Edgar Thomas Bolden and wife Joanetta of Washington, DC, Leonard Leroy Bolden, Dwight Elliott Bolden and Emery Curtis Bolden all of Chicago, Ill.; one grandson, Shawn Thomas Bolden and wife Temekia of Chicago, and 2 great granddaughters, Lauren Nicole Bolden and Jaylah Monique Bolden; two brothers, Larry Ellison and T. T. Shaw and wife Myrtle, and eight sisters, Rosetta, Cleola and Norma Jean, Genell Cole, Valerie Ellison, Richetta Allen, Jan Ellison and Rosalind Ellison.
Her parents, Herman and Vessie (Giles) Ellison also preceded her in death.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday with the funeral service following at 10:30 a.m. at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with Bro. Daniel Labruyer officiating. Burial will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
