Iroval Neal Carpenter

Iroval Neal Carpenter, 97, of Paragould, AR, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, in Paragould.

Mr. Carpenter was born December 28, 1916 in Poplar Bluff, MO to the late Epheriam and Leona Shoat Carpenter. He was a self-employed businessman, and served his country in the United States Navy, and enjoyed watching westerns in his later years.

On November 16, 1940, he and Ruby May Bergin were married in Poplar Bluff. She preceded him in death on February 20, 1997.

Survivors include his children, Gary Neal Carpenter (Jolene) of Valley Park, MO and Charles William Carpenter (Lucille) of Paragould, AR; and grandchildren: Billy, Darold, Melissa and Sarah.

His sister Katie; three brothers: Levi, John Epheriam and George; and a grandson, James Carpenter also preceded him in death.

Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the chapel with Rev.Keith Luke officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
