Jackson Montgomery Warren

September 4, 1998 — March 6, 2026

Poplar Bluff

Shift Commander Jackson Montgomery Warren of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on Friday, March 6th, 2026, in the line of duty. Jackson was born on September 4th, 1998, to Jay and Candace Warren of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was the smartest little boy, and his parents absolutely adored him. He was baptized on August 29, 2010, at First Baptist Church.

Jackson loved playing sports growing up: travel ball, basketball and football. He had a special friend group from school with whom he was still very close with to this day. He loved college football and all sports, but especially his Chicago Bears. He was so excited for them to make the playoffs this year, and his biggest pet peeve were “bandwagoners”.

He loved his brothers so much and especially enjoyed getting them to gang up and rage bait his mom. His biggest joy in life was his daughter, Oaklyn. He greeted her every time he saw her with, “Hey knuckle head.” He was blessed with a girly girl, and he embraced the Ulta trips, the fake nails, and even let her paint his toenails to make her happy. He loved taking her to Disney World, the beach, a cruise and going to her softball and soccer games and all of her school concerts.

He had a love for his family that was unmatched. He loved big family vacations, family dinners and talking sports with his dad, grandpa and brothers. He would often tell his mom how jealous all the guys were at work of how close our family is. He was so looking forward to a big family beach vacation this June.

He also loved the guys at the firehouse. He loved joking around with them and having fun, referring to himself as “Big Daddy”.

Jackson was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sandy Nunley and his Poppy Jerry Warren, both of Poplar Bluff. He is survived by his precious daughter, Oaklyn Warren; his parents, Jay and Candace Warren; his brothers Harrison and Lincoln Warren; his grandparents Calvin and Carol Rutledge; his grandmother Ruth Warren; Aunts and Uncles: Courtney Rutledge, Kristy (Rodney) Walls, all of Poplar Bluff and Wendy (Darcy) Meade of Warsaw, Indiana. He is also survived by his cousins whom he was very close to and considered more like brothers and sisters: Austin Grable, Quinlan Rutledge, Bridger Grable, Ryan Walls, Emily Walls Moore, Sarah Meade, Josh Meade, Brittany Meade, Christian Carpenter, Mariah Carpenter and Samantha Nidiffer.

Our world will never be the same. We ask that as you think about Jackson through the years that you remember his laugh, his wicked sense of humor, and his big heart. Go Bears!
