Jaclyn Kathryn ""Jacky"" King, 18, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau as the result of injuries sustained in a multi-vehicle accident on Labor Day.
Jacky was born May 10, 1992 in Poplar Bluff. She was an artist. Jacky enjoyed hairstyling, baking and cake decorating, music, and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her parents, James and Jenny King of Poplar Bluff; sisters, Jessica Malloy and husband Sam and Jayde Bringer and husband Wes all of St. Louis and Julie King and friend Bob Mielke, Jennifer King and friend Joe Bringer and Joy Sarah King and friend Aaron Brooks all of Poplar Bluff; brothers, Jeremy King of Poplar Bluff, Jay King and wife Donna of Roseburg, Oreg., Josh King of Eugene, Oreg. and Yancy King, of Fla.; grandmother, Betty J. Messerli of Perryville, Mo.; aunts and uncles, James Messerli and wife Lee and their children, Larren Barnes and Colin Messerli of Dechard, Tenn., Mike King and Marlene Young and their children Gail Young and Allan King, and Judy Karcher and husband DeWayne and their children, Jason and Jarrod Karcher all of Glendale, Ariz., and John Messerli and wife Irene of Texas; other nieces and nephews, Jonathan King, Tristan King, Ian King, Adam Meier, Nicole Meier, Austin King, Brandon King, Dillon Malloy, Chloe Malloy, Bailey Bringer and Landon Bringer.
Her grandparents, Jack Messerli and Leonard and Catherine King, preceded Jacky in death.
The family will receive and visit with friends and other family members at 12 noon Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel with Mr. Cal Nations officiating.
Jacky brought light and joy to all she came in contact with. She was greatly loved and will be sadly missed.
