James "Jimmy' Bernard Carter

James "Jimmy" Bernard Carter, 74, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015, at his residence.
Mr. Carter was born September 1, 1940 in Carbondale, IL, to the late Bernard and Aileen Rigdon Carter. On February 14, 2003 he married Lynda Zalewski d in Poplar Bluff. She survives of the home.
Mr. Carter loved his family, and enjoyed motorcycles, camping, canoeing, guns, hunting, and being outdoors. He was also very proud of the fact that he was from Carbondale.
Survivors include his two sons: Michael S. Carter, of Kearney, MO and James R. Carter, of St. Louis, MO; a sister, Jacquelin Patterson, of St. Louis; a grandson, he was especially close to, Jeffrey Michael Carter (Aure), and three great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Katy, and Kiera.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Julia Dolores (Carter) Armstrong.
