James Mack Davis, 73, of Wappapello, Mo. passed away Friday, Aug. 12, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Davis was born February 2, 1943 in Stanford, Ark. He was a former member of the Army National Guard and was a member of Wappapello Eagles, as well as the AmVets Post 106 in St. Peters, Mo. Mr. Davis was a retired truck driver and welder. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and taking care of his animals.
Survivors include five children: Luke (Susan) Davis of Ellington, Mo., Roger (Dehlia)Davis of Portland, Tx., Carmen (Eddie) Rains of Ellington, Katie Miller and Debbie Willingham of Iowa; a brother, Dave Davis; three sisters, June Finley, Linda Reed and Ginger Watkins; a sister in law, Ruth Ann Davis; his buddy, Billy Allison; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
His father, William Mack Davis and stepmother, Mildred, his mother, Estle B. Greer Frederickson and stepfather, Orval, his beloved companion, Glenda Allison, a brother, Melvin Davis, two sisters, Mary Ellen Weaver and Frankie Lou Hill, a son in law, James Martin Dement and a granddaughter Gabrielle Davis preceded Mr. Davis in death.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Wappapello, Mo.
