Rev. James Franklin Gage, 89, of Greenville, Mo, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at his son's residence.
Rev. Gage was born on July 25, 1923 at East Prairie, Mo to Frank and Nora Hicks Gage. In 1947, Rev. Gage married Mary Lucille Garrett in East St. Louis, IL. She preceded him in death on Oct. 21, 1991.
Rev. Gage was a pastor for many years, and was of the Pentecost faith. He enjoyed spending time with his family, was a member of the American Legion, and served his country in WWII in the Army Air Force.
Survivors include his children; Mary Evelyn Oldfield of Texas, Richard Allen Gage of Phoenix, AZ, James Odell Gage of Danville, KY, Frances Rusert of Poplar Bluff, Leonard Wesley Gage of Greenville; a stepson, Bob Sigman of St. Charles, Mo, 27 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a few great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and a brother, George Gage.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Wappapello.
Funeral Service will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday at the Chapel, with interment following at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Rev. Richard Gage will officiate.
