James Edward Gilbert

James Edward Gilbert, 65, of Campbell, Mo., passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

James, the son of the late Andrew Jackson and Pauline Smith Gilbert, was born Nov. 10, 1952 in Berwyn, Ill. He had retired after many years as a custodian for the Campbell Schools. James enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors.

Survivors include his children: Stefanie Gilbert of Campbell and Sam Gilbert of Lebanon, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Marvin Gilbert and Rodney Gilbert; and one sister, Barbara Ann Gilbert.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
