James Patrick Jimmy Myers

James Patrick ""Jimmy"" Myers II, 48, of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Myers was born Nov. 1, 1964 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was a member of Highland Church of Christ, and had previously worked for the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Myers was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved spending time with his children, all types of sports, and fishing.

Survivors his children: James Patrick Myers III, Anne Elizabeth Myers and Luke Victor Myers, all of St. Louis; parents, James Patrick and Patsy A. (Watson) Myers, of Poplar Bluff; special friend, Margie Drury, of St. Louis; sister, Shannon Lee Myers, of Piedmont; brothers, Jay Paul Myers and wife, Vicky, of Republic, Mo. and John Perry Myers and wife, Teresa, of Poplar Bluff; nieces, Megan, Emily, Cassie and Kaitana; nephew, John; and a host of other family members, friends and childhood friends.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral chapel with Mr. Vernon Curry officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at 12 noon Tuesday at The Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
