James P. Tomlin, 80, of Williamsville, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010 at his residence.
Mr. Tomlin was born Feb. 1, 1930 in Butler County. He previously worked in road construction and was also a farmer. Mr. Tomlin was a veteran of the U. S. Army, and a member of Masonic Lodge 209 and Eastern Star 344. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and hunting.
On Nov. 11, 1955 he married Mamie Reagan in Puxico. She survives.
Other survivors include three children, Bertha Maddox and husband Rodney of Benton, Mo., Arthur ""Bud"" Tomlin and wife Sheryl of Hendrickson, Mo. and Blanche Robertson and husband Rick of Williamsville, Mo.; four grandchildren, Amie Koch, Jennifer Pennington, Daniel King and Bobby King; and two great-grandchildren, Poppy Jo King and Landon King.
His parents, Perry and Blanche (Rose) Tomlin, a sister and a brother preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 1:00 - 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Black River Cemetery in Butler County with Rev. Jim Schremp officiating.
