Janet E. (Bounds) Glass

Janet Elaine Glass, 69, of Poplar Bluff passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at her residence.

Mrs. Glass was born December 10, 1943 in Baltimore, MD to Richard and Margaret Elaine Webster Bounds. She graduated from high school in Glenbury, MD, and entered the teaching and nursing programs at Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff, where she graduated as a Registered Nurse. Mrs. Glass worked for the Division of Aging as an inspector of nursing homes. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, golfing, shopping and quilting.

On November 20, 1976 she married Donnie Glass in Collinsville, IL. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include her children, Johnny I. Sorbie (Jill) of Troy, IL, Richard W. Sorbie (Laura) of Farmington, MO, Kathy Armeno (Frank) of Barnhart, MO, Karen Gorka from Fairview Heights, IL, and Donna Korte (Brian) of Belleville, IL; mother, Margaret Bounds; grandchildren, Ricky, Tommy, Heather, Randy, Steven, Michael, Eric, and Angie; and brothers, Richard Bounds of Baltimore, MD, and Robert Bounds of Jacksonville, FL.

Her father, Richard Bounds preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 10:30a.m. Saturday in the funeral chapel, with Rev. Jim Schremp officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
