Janice Lorene Christensen

Janice Lorene Christensen, 68, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Janice, the daughter of the late Lloyd Ralph and Pansy Pauline Barker Hood, was born July 17, 1948 in Poplar Bluff. She was a volunteer at Lucy Lee Hospital and Doctors Regional Medical Center for many years, and had retired after 26 years as a cashier for Walmart. Janice loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her new great-grandson, and watching the Chicago Cubs.

Survivors include two sons, James R. Hood and Jeff Christensen of Poplar Bluff; two grandchildren, David Christensen and Scott Christensen; and a great-grandson, Michael Jerry Christensen.

Her husband Jerry L. Christensen, brother, Lloyd R. Hoods, Jr. and two infant sisters also preceded Janice in death.

A private family time of remembrance will be at a later date.
