Janice Marie Williams

Janice M. Williams (Blakeney) of Webster Groves, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glenn W. Williams; her parents, Hal R. Blakeney and Elsie L. Blakeney and her brother, Hal R. Blakeney.

She is survived by her two sons, Brian D. Williams (Jennifer Marino), and Scott A. Williams, her three grandchildren: Alexander Blakeney Williams (Cassie Owens), Olivia Rose Williams, Emily Gianna Williams and her great-granddaughter, Genevieve Ryleigh Williams.

Janice was born and raised in Poplar Bluff, Missouri but lived most of her life in Webster Groves, Missouri, her latter years spent living at Laclede Groves retirement community. She attended Southeast Missouri State University where she earned a Bachelor degree in Education and Washington University where she earned a Masters degree in Education. Janice previously taught at Lockwood Elementary school, Edgar Road Elementary school and Bristol Elementary school. Janice loved living in Webster Groves, especially taking walks at Blackburn Park with her dog, Molly.

A graveside service will be held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on August 29, 2025, at 11:00am with Pastor Keith Luke officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA and/or The Humane Society of Missouri.
