Jerlean O. Knuckles Montgomery

Jerlean Opal (Knuckles) Montgomery, 78, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Montgomery was born Aug. 10, 1931 in Delta. She was a member of Black Creek Missionary Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Montgomery enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, puzzle books and riding her golf cart.

In 1947 she married Claude L. Montgomery. He survives.

Other survivors include her children: Linda Faye Montgomery, Ronnie Montgomery and wife Rhonda, and Randy Montgomery and wife Amy all of Poplar Bluff, and Karen Boone and husband Larry Boone, Sr. of Clarkton; grandchildren: Angie Bowman, Todd Montgomery, Chad Montgomery, Randi Montgomery, Ricki Montgomery and Reed Montgomery; step-grandchildren: Larry Boone, Jr. and wife Joni and Tracy Bullock and husband Jeff; 5 step-great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-great-grandchildren; sister, Eunice Edmonds of Fredericktown; and brother, Mitt Knuckles of Christmas Tree. Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas J. and Bessie (Sneed) Knuckles, and brothers, Russell Knuckles, Hershel Knuckles, Nolan Knuckles and Thomas L. Knuckles.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Cletis Powell officiating. Burial will be at the Montgomery-Sheppard Cemetery on Township Line Road in Poplar Bluff.
