Jerry Dale Hendrickson

Jerry Dale Hendrickson, 73, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Hendrickson, son of the late O. Paul and Velma (Murray) Hendrickson, was born Sept. 14, 1942 in Poplar Bluff. He had retired after many years as a building and trade teacher for the Poplar Bluff R-1 School District; and had proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Hendrickson was also an Eagle Scout, a swimming instructor as well as an avid marksman and a collector of things. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

Survivors include a sister, Margie Thompson of Louisville, Miss.; a special friend, Sally Featherston Boyd of Poplar Bluff; three nieces; three great-nephews; and two great nieces.

The visitation will begin at noon Friday at Cotrell Funeral chapel with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. The Rev. Jim Schremp will officiate. Burial with full military honors will be at Kinsey Cemetery in Butler County.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
