Jerry Kenneth Robinson

April 10, 1941 — September 3, 2014

Jerry Kenneth Robinson, 73, of Corning, Ark., formerly of Doniphan, Mo., died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Robinson was born April 10, 1941 in Doniphan, Mo., where he grew up and graduated from high school. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, and had worked as a chef at Westwood Hills Country Club in Poplar Bluff and Taylor State Line Restaurant near Corning, Ark. Mr. Robinson enjoyed cooking and was an avid coyote hunter.

Survivors include his son, Jerry Wayne Robinson, of Tulsa, Okla.; four grandchildren: two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Opal Merriman, of Sikeston, Mo. and Jesse Sue Cooper, of Rockford, Ill.; a brother, Lloyd Robinson, of Michigan; a special friend, Bonnie Thompson, of Corning, Ark.; and many friends and acquaintances.

His parents, Jess Lee and Minnie Islee Hall Robinson, three sisters, Vernal Day, Modena Carroll and Maxine Ambrose, and a brother, Delbert Robinson preceded him in death.

A graveside service with full military honors will be at 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12th at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
