""Little Jerry Stroud ""The Shoe Shine Man"", 70, of Salem, Mo., formerly of Poplar Bluff and Campbell, Mo., died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011 at his residence.
Jerry was born June 1, 1941 in Sikeston, Mo. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing pool and picking up cans.
Survivors include a sister-in-law and caretaker, Viola Casey of Salem, Mo.; brothers, Glenn R. Casey and wife Deborah of Wiesbaden, Germany and Robert C. Waggoner and wife Helen of Fair Groves, Mo.; sister, Bonnie O'Leary of Campbell, Calif.; best friend, Jasper Edmundson of Poplar Bluff; nieces and nephews, LaShawn Casey, Rachel Durham and husband Edward all of Salem, Mo., April Smith and husband Billy of Fair Grove, Mo., Ryan Casey and Tim Casey both of Seattle, Wash., Bryan Casey of Savannah, Ga. and Robbie Waggoner and wife Tanita of Fair Grove, Mo.; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
His father, Ora Lee Stroud, mother, Rosetta (Day) Waggoner and brother, Bill Casey preceded Mr. Stroud in death.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
