Jewell Ruth Maddox

Jewell Ruth Maddox, 72, of Williamsville, Mo., passed away Saturday July 15, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Maddox, the daughter of Walter and Ester (Adams) Asbell, was born December 30, 1944, in rural Bloomfield, Mo. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Maddox enjoyed spending time with her family and her many friends.

On May 4, 1963, she married Buddy Ronnal Maddox Sr. in Aid, Mo. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two children; Buddy Ronnal Maddox, Jr. and wife Laura, of Hermann, Mo. and Travis Anthony Maddox and wife Cathy of Portageville, Mo; her mother, Ester (Adams) Asbell of Dexter, Mo.; six grandchildren, Trevor Scott Maddox and wife Amanda, Troy Keegan Maddox and wife Emily, Erica Lynn Maddox, Aleigha Elizabeth Maddox, Megan Joann Maddox and Ariana Jewell Maddox; and a sister, Janice Aslin and husband Bill, of Bloomfield, Mo.

Her father, Walter Asbell, a grandson, Buddy Ronnal Maddox III and a brother Ronnie Asbell preceded Mrs. Maddox in death.

The visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with the funeral service following at noon. The Rev. Ron Shrum will officiate. Burial will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery in Stoddard County.
