Jimmy Eugene Hastings, 62, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, Oct. 10, 2011 at his residence.
Mr. Hastings was born Sept. 15, 1949 in Ripley County. Mr. Hastings was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in Vietnam, lifetime member of American Legion Post 153 and a member of Amvets.
Survivors include two sons, Eric Eugene Hastings of Hale, Mo. and Jamie Toon of Sikeston, Mo.; his life partner, Patricia Campbell of Poplar Bluff; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Maudie O'Neal of Briar, Mo. and Melba Dickson of Doniphan, Mo.; a brother, David L. Hastings of Houston, Tex.
A private graveside service with full military honors will be at Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery at a later date.
