Joanne H. (Nurse Gray) Gray, 80, of Poplar Bluff, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Gray was born May 25, 1931 in California, Mo. She was a Registered Nurse, and had retired from the Poplar Bluff School System as school nurse. Mrs. Gray was a former Girl Scout Leader and a camp nurse at Camp Latonka Girl Scout Camp in Wappapello. She was an avid college sports fan, and was an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed gardening and playing tennis. Mrs. Gray was a member of First United Methodist Church, and was active in the ""Friends of Library"" program at the Poplar Bluff Public Library.
On Jan. 16, 1953, she married William ""Ted"" Gray in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Gray preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1997.
Survivors include her daughters, Dianne Nauser and husband Donald of Poplar Bluff, Linda Robertson and husband Glen of Columbia, Mo. and Nancy Sealby and husband Robert of Wenatchee, Wash.; grandchildren, Lindsey, Kurtis, Jared, Sara and Jonathan Nauser, Jason and Lindsey Robertson and Jacob, Lucas and Alissa Sealby; sister, Mollie Allen of St. Joseph, Mo.; and brothers, Kent Hall of Stevens Point, Wisc., C.J. Hall of Tarpon Springs, Fla., Mark Hall of New York, NY and Morris Hall of Pryor, Okla.
Her parents, Ralph D. and Esther G. (Weisser) Hall and sisters, Margie Miller, Ruth Crippen, Sharon Scherbak and Charlotte Hall also preceded Mrs. Gray in death.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church at 500 North Main St. in Poplar Bluff with Rev. David Huck officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
