Joe L. Osborn

Joe L. Osborn, 88, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Joe, the son of the late Eli and Frieda Hendrickson Osborn, was born Sept 21, 1930, in Butler County and graduated from Poplar Bluff High School. He was a member of Twin Springs Baptist Church and had retired as a mechanic. Joe loved spending time with his family and as his family lovingly stated, he enjoyed fishing, fishing and more fishing.

He married the love of his life Ailene Kiser on Dec. 24, 1950, in Poplar Bluff. She survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Joanne Rushin of Poplar Bluff; two grandchildren, Kim Conner and Robert J. Rushin of Poplar Bluff; three great-grandchildren, Jaclyn Conner of Mesquite, Texas, and Sarah Conner and Ashtyn Rushin of Poplar Bluff; and a sister Dora Davis of San Antonio, Texas.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by a son Steven Osborn, a great-grandson H. Allen Conner, a brother John Osborn and three sisters, Beulah Spradley, Mary Sheehy and Verna Hudson.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Richard Blagg officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
