Joe D. Russell

Joe D. Russell, 76, of Williamsville, MO, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at his residence.
Mr. Russell was born July 13, 1938 in Poplar Bluff, to the late Georgia (Miller) and Leslie Russell. He was of the Baptist faith, served nine years with the National Guard, had worked as a meat cutter at Country Mart, and enjoyed horses, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his six children: Traci Bramlett (Kevin), of Jackson, MO, Jill Carpenter (David), of Lee Summit, MO, Elissa Walker (David) of Fisk, MO, Justin Russell (Sascha) of Poplar Bluff, MO, John Russell, of Hunter, MO, and Jo Terese Russell, of St. Louis, MO; a brother, Jerry Russell (Carolyn)of WillIiamsville, MO; a sister, Linda Arnold (Paul) of Poplar Bluff; eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heaven Walker.
There will be a gathering for family and friends Friday, from 5:30 - 7 p.m. at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff.
