Joe P Sliger

Joe Powers Sliger, 77, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Mr. Sliger was born December 13, 1935 in Poplar Bluff, to Ray D. and Allie Pearl Powers Sliger. They preceded him in death.

On March 1, 1956, he married Bonnie May Sliger in Hernando, MS. She survives of the home.

Mr. Sliger was a retired rancher, and member of New Covenant Fellowship, who loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children; Randy J. Sliger (Nancy) of Poplar Bluff, and Rick D. Sliger (Jessica) of Nashville, TN.; grandchildren, Jacob and Katie Sliger, and Dustin Locke; and a brother, Bill R. Sliger of Arnold, MO.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday at New Covenant Fellowship with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Moore officiating. Burial will be at Sparkman Cemetery.
