John Benjamin Banks, 55, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Banks, the son of the late William E. and Mary Rivard Banks, was born May 9, 1961 in Pontiac Michigan. He was of the Protestant faith and was a long distance truck driver. Mr. Banks proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling. Survivors include three children, Heather Joehrs, Melissa Banks and Jonathan Banks of Poplar Bluff; five grandchildren, Jackson, Trenton, Chadrick, Gracelyn and Ryder; the mother of his children, Janis Banks of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Kathy Rogers and Susan Banks of Florida; and two brothers, Bill Banks (Cindy Hasenjager) of Pennsylvania and Kevin Banks of Florida.
A graveside service with full military honors will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
