John C Bumgardner

John C. Bumgardner, 77, of Enid, Oklahoma, formerly of Poplar Bluff, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid.
Mr. Bumgardner was born November 4, 1935 in Poplar Bluff. He was of the Catholic faith, and had retired from the U.S. Air Force after 21 years of service. Mr. Bumgardner later retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 20 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf, trapshooting, woodworking, gardening, and growing pecan trees.
On April 23, 1963, he married Gloria Watkins in High Wycombe, England. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two children, Charles Andrew Bumgardner and wife, Patricia, of Enterprise, Alabama, and JoAnn Rutherford and husband, Tony, of Cushing, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Amber Bumgardner, Andrew Bumgardner, Dakota Rutherford and Kari Cox; a sister, Mary Ann Ryan and husband, Cecil, of Billings, Montana; and a brother, George Baumgardner and wife, Patsy, of Columbus, Georgia.
His parents, Charles and Jessie Mae Lucas Baumgardner preceded him in death.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Poplar Bluff. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Father David Coon officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
