John Earnest Cooper

John Earnest Cooper, 86, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on August 05, 2025, at St. Louis University Hospital.

John was born on April 14, 1939, to Marshall and Gladys (Prowell) Cooper in Brickeys, Arkansas. He married Barbara Strayhorn on March 9, 1963.

John is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara; three boys, John Cooper II (Terri), Stephen W. Cooper (Mandy), and Bryan K. Cooper; five grand children; one sister, Betty Givens, and one niece, Evyonne Harris, along with a host of other family and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Gladys; two sisters, and four brothers.

Graveside service will be at Missouri State Veteran Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri
